Assoc. Prof. Andrea Taschetto
Andrea is an Associate Professor at the Climate Change Research Centre and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes at the UNSW Sydney.
Her research focuses on climate variability, atmospheric dynamics, interaction across tropical ocean basins, and future projections. Her research has contributed to our understanding of the role of oceans in climate variability at regional levels, as well as the impact of various types of El Niño Southern Oscillation on atmospheric circulation, rainfall, and extreme events such as droughts. Andrea was the recipient of the 2016 Academy of Science Dorothy Hill Award and an ARC Future Fellowship.
