Assoc. Prof. Sean O’Byrne
Sean is Deputy Head of School for Research at the School of Engineering and IT at UNSW Canberra, and his research interests include hypersonic flows, supersonic combustion propulsion systems directed energy and sensor development.
He has also developed sensors for other applications, including water flows, aviation applications and biomedical applications.
Sean gained his PhD in 2002 on the topic of hypersonic wake flows and worked at NASA Langley Research Centre on supersonic combustion before beginning his appointment at UNSW Canberra.
