Dr. Luc Doucet
After earning a PhD in St. Etienne, France, in 2012, Luc received a three-year fellowship from the Belgium Fund for Scientific Research.
He moved to Brussels to apply “non-traditional” stable-isotope systematics to mantle and crustal rocks to study the formation of both oceanic and continental lithosphere.
Luc moved to Curtin University in March 2018 to join the Earth Dynamics Research Group. He worked with Prof. Zheng-Xiang Li to decipher the present-day and past connections between Earth’s mantle, supercontinent and superocean cycles.
In July 2023, heI was awarded an ARC Future Fellowship focused on “linking the deep carbon cycles with critical mineral deposits.”
