Dr. Melanie Roberts
Melanie is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at Griffith University.
She is an expert in gully erosion and water quality modelling. Working in the Australian Rivers Institute in collaboration with Queensland Government, Dr. Roberts is developing novel mathematical models of gully erosion to support interventions to protect the Great Barrier Reef.
Melanie was also awarded a recipient of the ARC Mid-Career Industry Research Fellowship, through this project she will work with Queensland Department of Environment and Science and the Queensland Water Modelling Network to develop a new catchment gully erosion model to inform investment to protect the Great Barrier Reef.
