Dr Tess Newton Cain
Tess Newton Cain is the Project Lead for the Pacific Hub at the Griffith Asia Institute and has a degree in Law and a PhD in Law & Criminology.
She is a former Lecturer in Law at the University of the South Pacific and has 25 years of experience working in the Pacific Islands region. She is a specialist in Pacific politics, geopolitics and Pacific regionalism.
In 2019/20, she led a research team funded by the Whitlam Institute to examine perspectives and perceptions of citizens of Fiji, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu.
