Dr. Tobias Fischer
Tobias is a Senior Lecturer and Chief Investigator at QUT’s Centre for Robotics.
He combines his expertise in computer vision and robotics to enable safe, intelligent interactions between robots and humans in real-world environments.
Dr Fischer has secured over $2 million in competitive funding and was recently awarded the prestigious Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) by the Australian Research Council. His academic accomplishments include a PhD from Imperial College London, multiple best paper awards, and the UK Best Thesis in Robotics Award.
