
Prof. Chris Pettit
Chris Pettit is Director of the City Futures Research Centre, inaugural Professor of Urban Science at UNSW Sydney, and Chair of the Board of Directors for Computational Urban Planning and Urban Management (CUPUM).
His expertise is in the convergence of city planning and digital technologies, including geographic information systems (GIS) and planning support systems (PSS), and he has spent the past 25 years conducting research and development into the use of digital tools to support what if? analysis and scenario planning of city futures.
Chris is a chief investigator on a range of research and industry-funded projects. He established the City Analytics Lab at UNSW as a dedicated space to support collaborative city planning and user-centred design.
