Prof. Hal Pawson
Hal is Professor of Housing Research and Policy at the UNSW Sydney and Associate Director of the UNSW City Futures Research Centre.
He retains a Visiting Professor position at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and is also an Associate of Sheffield University’s Urban Studies and Planning Department.
From 2019-23 he served as Managing Editor of the international journal Housing Studies, following on from his role as Australasian Editor 2011-2019. His latest co-authored books ‘Housing Policy in Australia: A case for system reform’, and ‘The Private Rental Sector in Australia: Living with uncertainty’ were published in 2020 and 2021.
