Prof. Meghan Miller
Meghan is an observational seismologist enthusiastic about solving outstanding questions in plate tectonics that range from the formation of cratons to earthquake processes on active faults.
To achieve this, she combines the use of novel seismological techniques, including the collection of new data in regions where none are available, integrated with other, sometimes disparate, geologic and geophysical data.
Currently she is working on seismic experiments in Alaska, Western Australia, and New Zealand. She is the Director for AuScope Earth Imaging and currently on an ARC Future Fellowship focusing on the use of Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) in seismic imaging.
