
Prof. Tama Leaver
Tama Leaver, Internet Studies Expert at Curtin University, is the President of the Association of Internet Researchers and a Chief Investigator at the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child.
His research interests include children’s data, privacy and rights in an online world; visual social media; the activity and regulation of big social media companies, especially in Australia; and the social, casual and mobile gaming landscape.
Tama has had many research journals published, and is author of Artificial Culture: Identity, Technology and Bodies which was published by Routledge, one of the world’s leading academic publishers in Humanities and Social Science. He has received multiple awards including the national Australian Award for Teaching Excellence – Humanities and the Arts.
