Dr. RICHARD LOBB from the university’s Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology believes this diagnostic tool could help patients start treatment early and prevent the disease from spreading, noting that lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in Australia, claiming nearly 9000 lives annually.
