Dr. Daniel Kiely
Daniel is a Senior Research Fellow with the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre.
He has managed and contributed to numerous BCEC reports and externally funded projects related to a diverse range of topics relevant to the WA and Australian economies.
In addition to being a co-author of the BCEC Quarterly Economic Commentary, his research covers a wide array of topics including the challenges facing small businesses, trade, tourism, gender equality, agriculture and agribusiness, as well as the digital divide. He has also led various economic impact assessments.
Prior to joining BCEC, Daniel was Principal Economist and Policy Advisor at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia (CCI) – WA’s peak industry body. He was a lecturer of economics at Curtin University and lectured for over a decade at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. Daniel holds a PhD from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, Northern Ireland.
He is a graduate of the Leadership WA Signature Leadership Program.
